NYS Archaeological Association-Van Epps-Hartley Chapter Fall Meeting

The Fall meeting of the Van Epps-Hartley Chapter of the NYSAA will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Mabee Farm’s new George E. Franchere Education Center, Route 5S, Rotterdam Junction.

Guest Speaker
The guest speaker will be noted author and historian, Shirley W. Dunn who will give a presentation entitled: “Mohicans on the Mohawk”.  Publications will be available to purchase.

Update on Fort Hunter and Guy Park
In addition to the featured speaker, Dr. Michael Roets, Senior Scientist from the NYS Dept. of Parks and Recreation will present a short update on the post flood damages and archaeology at the Fort Hunter and Guy Park state historic sites.

A business meeting and elections will be held after the program.

Take I-890 towards Scotia to Exit 1A (Route 5S). The Farm is 2.7 miles on your right.

From Albany and East
Take NYS Thruway (I-90 West) towards Buffalo to Exit 25 (Schenectady). Take I-890 towards Scotia to Exit 1A (Route 5S). The Farm is 2.7 miles on your right.

From Amsterdam and West
Take NYS Thruway (I-90 East) towards NYC to Exit 26 toward Rotterdam Junction. Take Exit 1A to Route 5S. The Farm is 2.7 miles on your right.
